Key Responsibilities

  • Discipleship:
    • Lead daily devotional sessions and discussions.
    • Model Christ-like values and behavior in all interactions with campers and staff.
    • Facilitate prayer times and encourage spiritual growth among campers.
  • Camp Activities:
    • Plan, supervise, and lead a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises.
    • Ensure activities are engaging, safe, and aligned with the camp’s mission and values.
  • Camper Care:
    • Provide emotional and physical support to campers, addressing any needs or concerns promptly and compassionately.
    • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all campers feel valued and heard.
    • Build strong, positive relationships with campers to encourage personal growth and confidence.
  • Safety and Supervision:
    • Monitor campers’ activities to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
    • Administer first aid as needed and follow camp protocols for emergencies.
    • Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and any health-related issues.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other counselors and camp staff to coordinate activities and ensure smooth camp operations.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and team-building exercises.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving camp programs and practices.
