Outdoor adventures for 4 generations of North Alabama campers!
Summer Camp 2021 runs weekly, May 30 – June 26!
How We're Approaching Summer Camp 2021 & COVID-19
At Maranatha, we’re all about adventure and changing lives through exciting, outdoor experiences that help our campers enjoy creation in new ways. While many of our camper-favorite activities each summer are not without risk (high ropes, giant swing, boating, etc), we’ve always prioritized safety and have hired and trained excellent staff that care about the details. That same mentality applies to the way we’re approaching the policies, procedures, and programming for Summer 2021 as our community continues to battle the Coronavirus pandemic.
We are hopeful, yet practical as we make our preparations for this summer. Our board and staff are taking guidance from local and national leaders and are coordinating with medical professionals (including Maranatha alumnae!) to develop a plan that will minimize risk to campers and their families while also providing camp activities that our campers look forward to each year.
We recognize that this is an evolving situation, and are committed to an approach that is in line with the realities of the pandemic as those realities come into focus for this summer. Learn More…
Summer Camp
The quintessential Maranatha experience: residential “sleep-away” summer camp experiences for children from 3rd grade through middle-school. Bring a friend and come enjoy an awesome week that’s sure to be the highlight of your summer.
Day Camp
For younger children (Kindergarten – just finished 5th grade), our day camps offer a full-blown camp experience minus the sleeping bag. Our buses pick up in Huntsville and Madison each day of camp, giving kids a great preview of camp life!
Leadership & Adventure
Middle and Highschool students can attend our week-long Adventure Camp and our two- week Leadership Course for counselors in training. Whether you want an adrenaline rush or college resume builder, we’ve got you covered.

Our History
For over 50 years, Maranatha has served North Alabama and beyond as a safe gathering place. It has been, and will continue to be, a place where differences are set aside and our humanity, spirituality, and commonality are re-ignited.
Nestled on the banks of the Tennessee River on beautiful Lake Guntersville, the beauty of creation provides our campers a unique chance to unplug and experience Maranatha… and find what it means to them.
