Key Responsibilities

Discipleship

• Lead daily devotional sessions and discussions

• Model Christ‑like values in all interactions with campers and staff

• Facilitate prayer times and encourage spiritual growth among campers

Camp Activities

• Plan, supervise, and lead a variety of camp activities (sports, crafts, outdoor adventures, team‑building, etc.)

• Ensure activities are engaging, safe, and aligned with Maranatha’s mission and values

Camper Care

• Provide emotional and physical support to campers, responding to needs with compassion

• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where all campers feel valued

• Build positive relationships that encourage personal growth and confidence

Safety and Supervision

• Monitor campers to ensure safety and well‑being at all times

• Follow camp protocols for emergencies and administer first aid when needed

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and health‑related concerns

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with counselors and staff to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and team‑building exercises

• Offer feedback and suggestions for improving camp programs and practices

Qualifications

Spiritual

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ

• A commitment to serving campers with humility, joy, and Christ‑centered leadership

Experience

• Previous experience working with children or youth is helpful but not required

• A willingness to learn, grow, and be coached

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead, encourage, and engage campers

• Problem‑solving and adaptability in fast‑paced environments
